No one else seems to have picked up on this: the 7 Jan reading says 'data collector reading' which implies that it's an estimate and may not reflect your actual usage.

Have you monitored how much you're actually using? Do you regularly take and keep a record of your readings?

"data collector" to me would be a smart meter

Just to follow up on this old thread... 

by having the heating on 24/7 set at 19 day and 17 night we are using 1/3 less than the previous year
I have lagged a lot of pipes and added a lot of insulation but getting the flow rate down as low as I can while still having hot water seems to have been the key to using less gas
