Scanning these new stamps with your phone will bring up a "Shaun the Sheep" video. We the public are the sheep, and we are being shorn.

Perhaps I should complain to the Queen, as I understand all post belongs to the Queen until it is delivered. If so, the Queen needs to get a grip.

Alternatively can the Royal warrant or title be removed if the organisation is not fit for purpose?

After contacting Royal Mail on 03452 660 804 they said the stamps were in the post - we are still waiting.
So the post is lost in the post? You couldn’t make it up.

Is this the same postal service that cannot be trusted to deliver the mail in a timely and efficient manner, if at all, despite regular exorbitant price increases?

Despite having 2 different reference numbers and various delivery promises from 2 different departments, I STILL have no exchanged bar-coded  stamps.

I feel like Tiny Tim, looking out forlornly for the postman, only to suffer crushing disappointment every day.

Finally received replacement stamps today Thursday 5th May, having submitted my form on 4th April, and first followed up 10th April. But only then because RM sent me a letter stating that they were sending me 0 stamps with a value of £0!

No delivery outlay repayment due, as the stamps value was < £200.

The stamps are much larger than previous.
I would call the code a QR code, rather than a bar code.
I cannot tell without peeling a stamp off the self adhesive sheet, but it almost looks like the code piece is separate from the stamp.

The covering letter was dated 3rd May, but was unsigned.

We were told that our stamps had been dispatched on 21st April.
As they still haven't arrived we must assume that we have either been lied to, or they have been 'lost in the post'.
  • I requested an "over 200" form and envelope but nothing turned up, only the "under 200" that I also requested.

So I sent off a subset of my stamps - unearthing as I did an ancient booklet of 2nd class stamps! - mainly Large Letter 1st though.

Got a letter back today saying I'd filled in the form saying I'd sent 175 stamps of X value but I'd only sent 4, and ...4 barcoded 2nd class stamps.

Found the number on here and rang, saying, "What's going on?" - the call handler did say something about first class large when she looked up my records so sounds like they all got there - now have a reference number and am waiting.

In the same post the "over 200" forms and envelopes finally arrived. But I'm not going to swap out the rest of my stamps until this is sorted out.

    Not brilliant is it?

I have unearthed an old booklet of 10 1st class stamps, a set featuring pictures of cats and dogs. In fact I think that's why I bought them in the first place, and probably not for use. A couple of questions arise...

    1) Apparently some stamps are eligible for swap, and some are not. For instance, I was advised that Christmas stamps were not eligible, and should continue to be used instead. Anyone know whether sets such as the cat and dog one are eligible? Yes, I know I could ask RM, and I probably will do, but they haven't exactly covered themselves in glory so far, or made me confident about receiving a definitive correct response.

    2) Has RM got its act together yet, and the procedure settled down, or is it still all over the place and hit and miss?
