Trace - first letter regarding ticket from 2017

Hi - I’ve just received a letter from Trace demanding payment for a parking charge from 2017. Apart from the date, there is little to no information about the alleged infringement. Are they trying their luck? Will this escalate?
Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks.

G24 Limited and that’s as much as I know of the charge from what they have said. I am in England. The letter really is the bare bones. “Your case has been passed to Trace because you have an outstanding matter with our client. You have been previously written to requesting payment for charges to above vehicle….no charges have been settled so client now requires full payment of £160….the balance relates to original parking ticket and subsequent debt recovery costs which will have been detailed in the car park and / or previous letters sent to you.” (No letters have been previously received). It really is the laziest attempt at recovering charges.0 -
Fine, ignore Trace. Keep all letters.
They pretend to gave a Legal Department and 'Litigation Manager' in the next letter!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’ve now had a Final Demand letter from their lawyers - BW Legal - continue to ignore? Next letter is apparently Letter of Claim..0

Nothing you can do with a 'Final Demand'. Wait to see if a LoC arrives, then deal with that by carefully following the advice in the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post. Please read that now so you're ready for a LoC not have it coming as a surprise, with no idea how to deal with it. Be prepared!Butternoparsnips said:I’ve now had a Final Demand letter from their lawyers - BW Legal - continue to ignore? I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
