My bank has issues with the Chase Savings account details and rejected any attempt to pay into it. However, payments to the Chase current account work properly
As above, it is the same for everyone, they haven't implemented Confirmation of Payee (COP).

All COP participants allow you to override the COP check, so payments to the Chase UK accounts can be made from any UK current account.
    It isn't a COP problem.

    That makes no sense.
The savings account is just another account number at the same sort code as the current account
I have no trouble paying directly into the Chase current account or any of the savings accounts I have set up with them.
    Transfer is from Nationwide.
  • one thing to be careful of, if you, just like myself, have joined them because of the offered  1.5% interest.
It is only paid on money in savings pots that you set up, and they are assigned different account numbers.
No interest is paid on money in the main account.
