Thank you.I'm honestly a little scared of doing an SOA partly due to comments like the ones here from a certain person.
I do feel a little calmer today and after I reply here I'll be setting up my budget properly again
Don't post it here, head over to the 'Debt Free' forum and do it there ...
That forum has 'no judgement' as its basic operating principle and you'll find a bunch of people who can be extremely helpful in getting things under control without the negativity you will get in other groups.

Maybe post on the Home board on how to compel the LL to do it. After 6 years you haven't been able to get the LL to do by asking nicely, And you would have been saving £100 a year, and more this coming year.
Have you ever actually been up to look that it is 0 insulation, or was it an exaggeration?

And you are still yet to post your actual usage in KWH so we can tell you the exact amount to expect your monthly to be.

It’s rated D valid till Feb 2025. Not sure how with all the damp and a huge hole in the front porch ceiling. Good to know how to check the energy certificate though so thank you.
Does the EPC include recommendations on how to improve the rating? Most do.
If there is no loft insulation, the EPC should be recommending that some is fitted. If the EPC isn't recommending that it be fitted, the EPC author thinks there is insulation!

I have just checked on the CAB website (googled insulation for tenants) apparently it is illegal for residential properties to to let without insulation unless there is a valid reason stated in your tenacy agreement. It would be worth you investigating thi to check the information in accurate. There should also be grants available for insulation I assume you are on benefits whether they are available for tenants I donts know but my previous point should tell you. If there are grants this is a good time of year to apply as the new budgets for them start in April usually.

I am so pleased you are doing better @Toomuchdebt lots of support here and we are all in it together.  Was worried when you mentioned candles.  Please dont do this as there has been lots of tragedies regarding candles.  Also i do think we need another forum a bit like the Covid ones as I originally suggested the other boards to you as there is a real cross over regarding DFW Old style Money saving and Energy

Maybe suggest this on the 'Site feedback' board.

The OP could also read this thread in advance of the guide being posted - if she hasn't already:

His solution was to give me a dehumidifier, and to install ventilation fans.
It seems difficult to believe that this is the most sensible solution. Even an uninsulated roof does not cause damp unless there is another problem.
Is the tumble drier correctly installed ?  Does it have or need an outlet to the exterior ?

Some of these condensating tumble driers don't vent to outside.
