Can everyone please go onto the "submit readings page" and keep pressing refresh, with combined power, we may be able to leverage the interface open.

    Are you Uri Geller?
  • Similar scenario with EonNext too.
Not too bothered, I'm fortunately on a fixed tariff. And as has been suggested, just take a time/date stamped picture of the meter(s).

Today is the wrong day to do this in a lot of cases, as the suppliers tend to take the reading as the closing reading for the preceding day, so for some it should be tomorrow, and for anyone with Octopus it should be Saturday as they do not increase until then.
Check a previous bill and see which date they recorded your last reading...
Eon Next use the day previous to the read

What bill? It's been months since I was switched to Shell which wasn't my choice and I don't have a proper bill yet!
Same here. But with Eon Next

    Have you submitted meter reads?
I have, twice, and had bills from E-On Next, twice.
Tomorrow I plan to submit a meter read for them to produce a bill to the 31st March (todays date).

Octopus - no rush at all.

We're super busy today so you might have a long wait if you call. The best day to give us a meter reading is this Saturday (our standard variable prices don't change until 00:00 Saturday 2nd April.) Make a note of your readings or take a photo of them on Saturday. When we receive this reading we will apply it to your account from 00:00 midnight on the Saturday. You will have a week to submit them to us, so please don't worry if you can't get it to us that day.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Took me half an hour to submit a reading to Octopus, it kept saying oops we had a problem.  then when it did accept it, I am not convinced it has actually processed it as it does not yet show on my usage history.

Why would you bother taking a meter reading today if you’re on a fixed tariff?
