Just had an email from one parking solution. Car is registered to home, but i spend most my time at uni so supplied that address to one parking solution. They want me to confirm address.

They've given me 7 days to respond (after I waited 30 days for them). Any advice at this stage? I assume wait until day 6 then confirm which address I want them to use?

I can collect post from either address, though one is more hassle. So ignoring the email is an option also if that is the best course of action.

You should always give them the address you are at.

If you want that to be uni, you should state unambiguously that your residential address is x, please direct all correspondence there.

Bear in mind that these can drag on, so if uni is only going to be your address for a further month or two of a tenancy agreement, that may not be your best option.

Which location is your PCN from?

IMHO, local pariah OPS need to get out of Sussex and stick to other real jobs.  Horrible aggressive ex-clampers who I can't see surviving the new statutory regulation.

The cowboys in this industry will not be missed.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What stage is the OPS demand at; have you appealed - did you try POPLA - or are you waiting to be inevitably sued?

We win v OPS but you need to be prepared.

Where in Southampton?  We may know the car park and its main issues.  Was it for not displaying a permit, or what?

Ocean village Southampton. It is a private parking area right next to the cinema parking.

It is numbered private bays. Signage doesn't actually state what bay numbers are private.

My initial appeal to the company is ''being considered''. Not reached the POPLA stage yet. They've asked for clarity of my address for the rejection of appeal I imagine.

Top image was what I could actually see  (approx height of sign 12ft). I have 20/20 vision and it was difficult. Second image is provided by the parking company as per requirements.

    You got it.  They'll reject.

This is OPS; IMHO a horrible ex-clamper thug of a moneygrabbing company, whose sign text is in 5mm small print and who will struggle to meet the new regulations coming in.

I knew I shouldn't be there, in truth. But it was 7.30pm I took the gamble. Was surprised they were there within 10 minutes.

Not willing to take it as far as court so not worried about them digging this post up.

I'm putting up a fight purely on the principle of the awkward signage. I'm 6ft with 20/20 vision and still couldn't read the smaller print. Struggled with the main print.

Did they put a windscreen PCN on the car?

If stopping for 5-10 mins, always stop on street, even on a double yellow line (perfectly safe) as certain short activity is allowed and you can't get an immediate ticket on street.

    Yes windscreen PCN.

What I meant was the observation time on the ticket started around 10 mins after I had parked, I was there much longer.

I'm in the wrong really, but it was park there or be 20 mins late for a date finding a spot. Mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.
