It will be on the claim form, if they are using one.  It will be in the "address for sending documents if different" and sometimes PPC have their own in-house legal team.

Sending the defence to the claimant is belt and braces. The important thing is to send it to the CCBC who will then (should) forward it to the claimant. In other words, don't miss the deadline for sending it to the CCBC as that is your priority.

If you haven't sent it yet, change the word fine to charge or parking charge. Note that there is no s in defence.

  • Hey guys,

    It's not on the claim form. These are the three I've found office@ce-service.co.uk , Legal3@ce-service.co.uk , dataprotectionofficer@ce-service.co.uk.

If you're referring to what I mentioned in the defence around what the sign said. The sign in the car park actually said 'fine' so I'm just writing what it said on the sign.

    Thanks,

    'Legal3' works.

The sign in the car park actually said 'fine' so I'm just writing what it said on the sign.
Wow!  Show us. That's a breach of the BPA CoP.  You can use that in evidence later.

    Hi all,

I've still not received my questionnaire by email. However i have received a letter from the courts letting me if the claimant wishes to procced he might contact me directly or let the court know he wants to proceed with the claim with in 28 days. Is this normal to expect?

    Thanks,

That's perfectly normal and to be expected.

The CCBC has sent you a letter saying the Claimant had twenty eight days to consider your Defence.
What you don't know is when the CCBC sent a copy of your Defence to the Claimant.
It follows from that that it is not known when the Claimant has to respond to the CCBC.
Further, we don't know what delays there are in the CCBC that means they don't send you a Directions Questionnaire as promptly as you might like.
Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CCBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back to the CCBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course?

    Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know i received a letter yesterday from the claimant to let me know they have now discontinued their proceedings and will no longer be taking this any further. I just want to thank everyone for all their support and if you'd like me to write a post on this being successful then I'm happy to do so.

Thanks again! I could not have done it with out you :)

Yay! well done, that's a win.

ANOTHER CEL ONE BITES THE DUST!

Now you've won this battle and earned the 'virtual t-shirt', please don't disappear just yet. A final Public Consultation is coming.

We need you; motorists need you to help us make a difference forever.  What a waste of your time this was, and why should there be such a litigation culture in parking?   It's truly horrible being pursued for £100 plus false 'fees' for no reason, by an ex-clamper aggressive firm, isn't it?

Join us in trying to end the conniving PPC and DRA 'added fees' fuelling the court culture.

There will be one window of opportunity later this year.  My best guess is in October.

Together, we can stop the rotten parking industry from riding roughshod over the new statutory Code and the charge level caps, and otherwise bullying all motorists forever, using the regulation to gain kudos and status.

If you are not likely to pop back here every week to check, please set up email alerts for this forum and bookmark this thread (below) as we intend that one of us posts on it when the Government opens the Consultation:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6333989/mse-parking-ticket-appeals-guide-feedback#latest

    Read the latest posts there.

The PPC money-grabbers have blocked the new Code by filing for Judicial Reviews.  Stopped the declared and much welcomed parking code from February 2022, which stated that added £70 false 'DRA fee' extortion was to be banned and that parking levels would start at £50.

It's on hold. Motorists urgently need it reinstated and the ban on false 'DRA fees' confirmed, to stop the rot.

This year will be your chance to make a difference, plus any other drivers you know (family, friends) who are also fed up to the back teeth with the greedy and unscrupulous parking industry and the stranglehold they have on people.

We need high numbers of real victims to make a point of responding to this final Consultation.
