Cheap Easter egg hunt ideas

I'd love to hear any ideas you have for cheap Easter egg hunts.
Last year I set up a hunt in my flat by hiding riddles in different nooks and crannies, each one leading to a small egg and the next clue. Tesco had an offer on chocolate eggs at the time but I don't remember how much I spent.
I don't have a garden, but I can imagine having one would make the hunt a bit more epic!
I hope to hear some of your ideas and stories.

We did the same one year. The kids loved it and we had to do a treasure hunt nearly everyday for about a month after 😂. I bought plastic eggs from home bargains (10 for £1) and we hid them as they get more than enough chocolate eggs from other family members.Mortgage balance April 2022 - £235,000

The plastic eggs idea is a brilliant touch.0

I do a less chocolatey one where I hide coloured pebbles in my garden and when my nieces find all 15 between them, they each get one choc egg.1

I've heard of people using the (free) what3words app to create Easter egg hunts to be played over a wider area - always wanted to try that.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com1
