Chase, cashback & Google/Samsung pay

So i'm looking to apply for a chase account purely due to the cashback on offer being more than my Amex card.
I notice that they don't offer joint accounts, which is a bit of a nuisance. My wife will do a bit of a food shop through the week & then a big one at the weekend. There may be other stuff she needs to buy mid-week.
I could leave my card with her. Currently we both have an Amex card tied to the 1 account so everything is nice and easy.
Then I wondered about Google/Samsung pay.
I know the suggestion may upset some sensitive folk so let's talk about a potential scenario that may or may not happen....
First off do you still get cashback via Google/Samsung pay? I imagine you surely must?
Which leads me to asking about the possibility of loading the card to 2 different phones as a joint account workaround?
And for the record, the chances of something being spent on the card via this method in 2 different locations at the same time or even close to being the same time is zero. Monday-Friday I don't spend. Sorry, Monday-Friday one of the individuals in the story example doesn't spend.

I can confirm that the Chase card works with Google Pay and you do get the cashback.
Don't know whether you could load the same card into two different phones associated with different Google accounts for the purposes of Google Pay - sounds distinctly unlikely to me but presumably you could use Google Pay on a phone for one person and the physical card for the other person.2 -
Nearly all of my spending from the Chase current account is done through Google pay, so like Murmansk I can confirm that you do indeed get cashback that way. Likewise I have no idea about loading the same card into GPay on two phones, I'm sure someone will be along soon who's at least tried it.1

Well as you say Murmansk, that'll be the workaround if it can't be done.Wonder if you can load to Google Pay on one phone (wife prefers G/P) and Samsung Pay (I prefer) on the other phone.Don't want to try it out really and get it locked/blocked/closed0

I use my Chase card on my iPhone and on my Apple Watch, so it can sit on two devices - although obviously, my devices are linked.
Why don't you ask Chase?0 -
I'm interested to know the answer to this too.
I just trawled the T&Cs of the Chase account and there is no reference to this being prohibited.
I'm going to load my Chase debit card onto my Wife's Google Pay account (It's already on mine) and I'll report back in the coming days.
I found some forum threads elsewhere that confirm that this works for other UK based banks, so I'm hoping Chase is no different.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!1 -
Further to my previous post, I can confirm that this has worked with no problems (so far). The card added to my wife's Google Pay after I approved it via the Chase app on my phone. She's completed a few transactions today without issue.

Thanks for the update @mrmajika.Used it for the first time today - no problems. I'm not overly fussed about the roundup feature but it's an easy 5%. Be interested (no pun intended) to see how much that all generates at the end of 12 month. Will have to wait on the card coming out so I can load it to my wifes phone.

One thing to note with Chase is that if your phone is a couple of years old, Chase may refuse it (well, they did with mine, anyway). Samsung, Android 10, up to date, all other banking apps - and I have lots - work on it).0

Chase have announced they are working on joint accounts.
Chase doesn't work on phone operating systems that aren't supported any longer (ie the older 1s from Apple or Android)0 -
