I've seen thair glazing in a house years ago and it was good but i agree they do charge a lot.
I think they often used to quote a price and then their sale price like many other DG sellers.

The story, not a very interesting one, continued. Alongside the search for suitable fixes for the double glazing, my Mum (who was living in the property) had some more falls, & was put into a care home for respite care to free up her hospital bed. Now, because her social worker deemed her to be of capacity and to have “chosen” to leave the hospital and be in a residence outside of her local authority having presumably recovered from her vascular dementia, we are going to have to sell her house to pay for continued care at the very excellent care home we stumbled upon. So we are bringing the house up to a viewable and photographable standard. We found one local glazing company to do the replacement glazed units (or to look it over and price up for the french windows I was previously signed up to Everest for). They were really slack about meeting appointments and letting me know when they couldn’t get to the house to meet me ( a 22 mile round trip for me), so we stopped dealing with them and found an even more localler company who so far have been really nice and straightforward, don’t particularly want any money up front, and have underpriced all of the above. (£420 for two large replacement units to go into the frames to be done in the next few weeks (up to three apparently). Let’s just hope we can get the place sold before the bottom falls out of the market. Thanks again for all replies, they really did help me to think straight through a problematic set of issues I was having,
