You will most certainly need documentation. The Spanish health form is checked and the QR code scanned at the point of arrival. That could of course change in the next 2 weeks, but as of 2 weeks ago it was still required, and checked.
Unlike the return to the UK, when no check whatsoever was made, though it was still required at the time.
The UK passenger locator forms were linked to your passport, so you didn't need to show the from itself, but if there was an issue it would have flagged when your passport was scanned on entry to the UK.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.
Very faint line today, so I think that means still positive a little bit.  Very worried about the holiday at the weekend.
Still, at least coming home there is nothing to do.

You don't have to test to go to Spain so there won't be an issue. Enjoy your holiday.

We have just returned from Gran Canaria , plane landed about 15 minutes later than scheduled ,straight into the airport and then the fun started ,massive queues for passport control followed by even longer queues for vacc cert inspections followed by even longer queues for inspection of passenger location forms ,even after all that time the luggage had not come up on the carousel ! was told by others than about 10 flights had landed one after the other causing the problem, they did check the covid certs and the passenger location form thoroughly.
Anyone travelling should steel themselves for time spent in the airport after landing, enjoy your holidays.

However, if someone has logged their positive test via the NHS app, they will surely have to wait until their negative test/recovery certificate appears on the app before they can travel? Otherwise they won't be able to prove their vaccinations.

They no longer disappear when you report a positive test result.

As stated they no longer disappear. Also what’s the point in reporting the positive test? Just stay away from others until the contagious period has elapsed.

I reported a positive PCR in order to get a recovery certificate, for travel in a few weeks time.
