How noisy are the latest air to air heat pumps?

It was a problem with older and cheaper models in the USA.

I think Mitsubishi have quieter operating noise.
I have a Toshiba 7.5kw inverter for my aircon on the side of my property and can hear it if I
    stand near the garage.
    Also through wall inside.

It’s not too bad but could be an issue if close to neighbour’s property.

I think the will always be more noise if wall mounted than floor standing.  Most are 40-50DB for the outside unit when working hard, the brand can make a difference.

    Indoor unit 19/20Db

The only 2.14 I can see on that table is the heat output of the CS-FZ25WKE system, 2.14kW at -7C.
The COP for that system is quoted as 4.04 nominal, range 4.21-3.46, and SCOP 4.20.

One thing to note, the outdoor units will be quietest when new and there is only one way the noise will go as it ages!  For some reason I can hear from the bedroom  the unit at the other end of the house than the one mounted just outside my bedroom.

In the process of forking out £1k to get a noise assessment survey and probably a few thousand to have noise shielding for the larger unit  :( all in all, bloody expensive to heat a room
