You also need to consider the time interval, if they said they would remove it and you applied for a new account straight away then that would likely not have had enough time for it to have been processed, you probably need to leave it at least a month. Also, little point in applying to Monzo again as they will now have an internal record of declining you.
If I were in your position I would wait at least a month, run the CIFAS SAR again to make sure it is clear, then apply for a basic current account with a high street bank once it comes back clean.3 -
Cant speak for cifas specifically, but in general for credit agencies, the feeds aren't real time except for actual credit checking.
So any markers being put on or removed can take up to a month or more to be updated on the file.Peter

Hi, here is some helpful info about basic accounts, when you are ready to open one, from this very site -
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/basic-bank-accounts/
There's no set time difference that I'm aware of. I had a basic bank account some years ago when I was in dire financial straits and now I have managed to turn things around I have a 'normal' current account.
Here's some more info about accounts generally from this site too - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/bank-accounts/
Hope that's helpful. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Many banks, Monzo included, have special accounts for 16/17 year olds and will not give standard accounts until you are 18.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
