Remember that companies can also keep their own markers, so that can still cause you problems.0

What was the CIFAS marker for?
I emailed Starling Bank directly, and they got back to me a couple days later asking if I had evidence I provided it to them. They responded back saying they would do their investigation and a month later they responded back saying
“ We hope this message finds you well.A decision has been made regarding your recent claim and as a result we’ve found that the Cifas report is no longer merited and has now been removed. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you”
but shortly afterwards I tried applying for Monzo bank but still got denied I’ve Done a DSAR form and I am currently waiting on what comes back, also I Called starling bank after the marker was removed and had tried opening a monzo bank saying that if they had removed the Cifas marker they said they Had.2 -
You can check your CIFAS file again to see if it has been removed if you need to confirm for yourself.0

Then you need to ask them to do what they said they would.0
