I don't understand the EonNext billing frequency.
Received first statement dated 2022-01-22, meter readings 15/12/2021 - 20/01/2022.
Received second statement dated 2202-01-25, meter readings 21/01/2022 - 23/01/2022.
Received third statement dated 2022-03-10, meter readings 24/01/2022 - 08/03/2022.
Received forth statement dated 2022-03-21, meter readings 09/03/2022 - 20/03/2022.
With Eon I was always on monthly billing paying on receipt of bill (POROB) and when I was switched to Eon Next I was still supposed to be still on monthly billing. However I am struggling to understand their billing frequency.
Can anyone help me?

I give EON Next weekly readings and they produce a bill after each read submitted.

Beats me I left as soon as I could when I was moved over becuase I do not like the eon next platform.I think emailing pdf's is insecure and ridiculous when they could just say log on and get your bill (I assume this is trying to pander to the techphobes but it puts me off). There is more but the general jist is I would not usae them again unless they get a better platform. In my view the old one was probably better theough I have never seen of used it ;-)1

I had no problems when I was with Eon and used to receive monthly emails and would then log onto my account and download the PDF Bill. The problems started with Eon Next I can't work out their billing frequency.0

No more insecure than any other form of communication, and I don't have to go through the rigmarole of logging in to a site. And no, I am not a technophobe - Have been involved with computers for a lot longer than some (anyone remember punch cards ?).

On the 1st of every month I always Facebook message them and get them to produce a statement. If I didn’t I would never get a statement on the 1st!FTB - April 20200

Eon Next have generated statements for me after I give them manual meter reads on the 1st of each month ( I joined them on 1st October 2021). The electricity and gas payments are separate listings on my balance and usually appear within 24 hours. The detailed pdf statement follows a few days after this as I have a DD payment that goes out on 1st of each month.
Both my meters are SMETS2 but so far they are unable to lift the data themselves. Other than this I have no issues with their billing.0 -

TBH I dont get all that stressed about bills.
I give them a reading on the last day of the month and get a bill several hours or a day later although they use the readings that I give, the billing dates do seem to be a bit random
We have a smart meter which was dumb and then started providing cost data to the the IHD when Eon-Next took over but they dont seem to be able to get or use the readings themselves (now it even works with the Bright App)
As I keep copies of the PDFs and keep my own running total on a spreadsheet then there really isn't any problem, but I would agree that it shouldn't really be all that difficult for them to sort it out.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I'm quite happy with quarterly bills myself, as it's less for me to check and file away (likely electronically). Erratic bills has the OP has would probably bug me too.1
