Thrifty.. welcome home.. xx hopefully the sparkle will return to your home!
I've spent the day changing locks and adding door chains to my sisters house after her ex-oh was arrested and refused to give back the keys.. lots of talking went on but she was smiling when we left .
In my house not a single thing has been done.

Hi all
Round your mantel looks lovely, I expect it to stay that way or I will be coming around to run my finger over it and check for dust (just kidding, it looks great) x
Welcome back Thrifty.
So yesterday was a 10.5 hour day at the paid stuff and when I finally got home and into bed I couldnt switch off. Despite that I was wide awake at 5am so back in the office at 8am. By 2pm I was flagging and just a tiny bit grumpy if I am honest.
I rang up and cancelled the vet's appointment for 9am tomorrow, which I feel weirdly guilty about, we didnt make the decision until 5pm but little dog's face is no longer swollen, he is fine in himself and eating normally so it seems ridiculously to give him anesthetic.
Cycled into work and back, might try and do it again tomorrow. Oh yes, flying, washing mostly dried outside, finished off in tumbler and put away. A bit of a general tidy around done and we are both fed. PJs on soon.

I am so tired this evening that I just tidied the iPad away into the fridge. Seriously, send chocolate and wine.
Absolutely loads done outside, yet more to do tomorrow. Pallets chopped for this winters woodpile, sausage and mash for tea, pack ups made, everyone fed and no one dead.
DS making a racket upstairs with his fidgets when he is meant to be sleeping... I shall ignore and make a cuppa x

Anything else is an aspiration!
- kept the kitchen worktops clean and tidy
- did WMx3 and hung out to dry
- delivered donate bags to the CS
- rested after lunch and swept slept the migraine away, TG!
- did a couple of hours' work on this year's church accounts: I intend these to be in better shape on 31/12/2022 than last year's accounts were on 31/12/2021, since I shall be doing them for the full year under my own system
My energy provider wants me to put up my monthly DD from £200 to £269
First job after breakfast tomorrow will be to turn down the thermostat even further! I can't see to do it right now.11 -

Kaz.. poor tulips!! But the deer are so pretty, if destructive.. I feel very much the same about squirrels too.. pigeons however, I could wring every one of their necks! Hate them.Dot had to be bodily carried into school this morning.. she was in full loon mode.. barking and hissing and falpping her goose wings.. I don't care I fling her thrugh the door anyway.. I took the other 2 in while OH dragged her out of the car and we called for help in getting her to class.. I removed her from OH's leg, kicked him out and left her with staff... if they need me they can ring. The other 2 just ran off without so much as a backward glance. Poor Pixie is very neglected.. we are trying really hard to make time just for her but it is very difficult to fit her in.. we need to make more of an effort because she is lovely.. we have been finding new insults.. 'pustulating vesicle' is todays insult. 'odourous galoot' is another favourite.. she is enjoying this. Twinkles eye eczema is not improving.
roof guy supposed to be turning up today.. I shall not hold my breath..
Sink unit supposed to be redelivered today since no one ansewred the door yesterday.. again.. I shall not be holding my breath.
I will however be tidying my bed and getting the WM's on. OH can do the DW before work.. and he is supposed to be measuring up my sister windows for new glass.. I'm wondering if we should look at laminated as it is harder to break and cheaper than a DG unit.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)10
