With another window on the left and the need for those curtains to be there you have limited your options on size.
Not sure you will gain anything changing, the freesat tuner might but limits options

Not all the potential options have freesat tuners which will give you the option to ditch the sky boxJ_B said:getmore4less said:Not sure you will gain anything changing, the freesat tuner might but limits options

43"/50" over 40" not a big change, 4k at that viewing distance won't see the difference.
Some sets might be brighter and wider colour gamut than current which will look better for some viewing.
HDR performance won't be that good at that price point.
These are the sort of size sets people are upgrading from, might find one on freecycle or local ebay/facebook/charity.1 -
To be honest, with the positioning of the TV where it is and your seating distance, I wouldn't bother too much on specs. You won't get the benefits of 4K and HDR, so, spend the money on a better HD Tv and forget the 4K.

Easy to replace wide feet with much more useful centre stand (ime). Also allows you to adjust the TV height, if you wish.k_man said:How much space do you have above the unit (width)?
E.g. not in an alcove?
And check that the stand/feet of the new TV fit on the 760mm unit.
Some TVs have wide stands, or feet at each end.1 -

It's a good TV with a great picture (if you play with settings, including turning off screen energy saving), good sound, and is Which 'Best Buy' for 43" screen TVs.J_B said:Decision made43" LG 43UP81006LR£341.10 from Richer Sounds with their extra 10% discount50" was the same price but without rearranging the lounge, it was just toooo big. Thanks everyone for their help and advice.
I do have conciderable lip-sync issues with mine, especially with content via Prime and Plex, however.1 -
