    Zoopla is irrelevant.

You and your estate agent decide what it's listed as. If you either of you give incorrect information then expect zero interest as potential buyers will wonder what you're up to....
  • The best ones are the "detached" houses that are clearly joined by a garage...
    Doesn't look detached to me.

You want to look here for definitive property identification

    https://www.findmyaddress.co.uk/search

Every property is listed and shown on a detailed map showing the boundaries and it's Unique Property Reference number.

  • It's Zoopla, init! :(

Zoopla almost certainly get their info on house type, no of bedrooms, no of reception rooms, no of bathrooms etc from estate agent listings.

    So, for example:
    • Some estate agents will describe an end of terrace house as semi detached
    • Some estate agents will accidentally click on the wrong house type on a drop down list, when they list the property for sale
    etc, etc

And some houses might have been extended or re-modelled since they were last listed for sale. So the number of rooms shown on Zoopla might be incorrect as well.

I'm interested in why the OP has a dogged determination in asking the question? What's behind it?

No, there is no such thing as an official register of whether a property is a semi or whatever.
Thank you Sir, I rest my case!  :#
Have I missed something? What case?

The link @ProDave posted led me to https://uprn.uk/ and then to Buckingham Palace. You'll all be relieved to see that only 76% of areas are more deprived.  I did enjoy the fact it's a "multipolygon" and its building colour too.

I got excited at first, then compared the boundaries on that website vs the boundaries from land registry and realised that they findmyaddress is showing the wrong boundaries.  Also once I get the Unique Ref, what do I check it against?

Yes I agree to some extent. My property was bought new from built and I' m the only owner so it's never had any listings on it. My neighbour's n. 39 has been sold once from new (built at the same time as mine) and there have been no changes to layout as i have been in that house recently.
