Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark - drying underfoot after awful rain from yesterday afternoon - forecast is good for today and tomorrow and into the weekend.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was hot quiche, ham, pork pie, jacket potato with cheese and beans, I had side salad with mine and no pork pie. Working today and it's my Saturday to work also. Was busy yesterday morning but then settled, today will be busy then settle I hope.
Keep safe and well x

Morning everyone, and thanks for the start nmlc x
I'm going into the London office today so up bright and early. Pup has been fed and I've assembled my packed lunch of leftovers and fruit. We have to take in mug, spoon, knife, fork, teabags, milk, etc. Just about room in my backpack for the laptop!
DD is coming home from uni tonight for the weekend. Pup is also staying an extra day with us this week, so a full house will greet me later.
Hope you got on okay with the GP Izzy?
Back later,
Coxy

Bright and sunny here and looks to be a nice day, off to work for me and its the three lads day today so excellent fun but exhausting, last working day of the week though so thats good.
Not sure about dinner tonight might do a jacket spud with hm and cheese and salad or possibly pie and mash, Im thinking of a jacket as Im not really keen on pie although OH loves it.
Had an email yesterday that I am meeting a potential client on Monday after work so fingers crossed it goes well, she has to like me and feel comfortable with me and me her so hopefully we will get along.
DW been emptied this morning and I will put a wash on before work.
Have good days all and take care xxx15 -
Morning All
Bright this morning but showers due later. Washing on the pulley just in case, I'm going for a haircut after work so won't be in until it's dark.
Hope you get on OK with your appt Izzy.
How exciting Ruby!
Hope everyone's well, must dash as the car needs defrosting.
Take care. XX14 -
Morning folks. It's a frosty bright morning here. Maybe the brightness will hang around.Yesterday one of my neighbours came along to unblock my bathroom basin. It's very odd that it was gunged up - no hair - as it's only used for washing hands and face. It's been running very slowly for ages as I waited through Argyll Time. 😀 I'm pleased it's done. Then I went up to Oban as I had a couple of orders to collect from M&S. One order was for two new bras but I was so disappointed with them, I can't seem to get ones without the new trendy formed cups (like half foam balls). I searched online to find some and failed miserably, I only want ones which are 'flat' and fold up properly. Back to square one.Later on I stripped the bed, put on fresh linen and got the old stuff washed. By then it was too late to hang it out so it's on the airier and bannister.Today, if nothing else crops up, I'll be doing more scanning. There's enough lentil soup left for two good portions before I need to think about cooking again.I hope that everyone has a good day. Happy Thursday to all. And happy St Patrick's Day to any Irish on here. ☘️14

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's a glorious start here, blue sky and sun, but flipping 'eck it's a bloomin'g cold one! And how lovely to have some heartwarming news on tv for a change - Naznin's welcome home brought happy tears to my eyes.
Lovely day out yesterday, despite drizzle and, other than lunch, the only spending I did was on 2 bags of Everton Mints! They are getting more and more difficult to find hereabouts and they have always been a family favourite.
I am so pleased with my new shower despite it nearly knocking me off my feet! It's so much more powerful than my old one and it's been worth the 2 week wait of enduring baths instead!
I am grounded today after my 2 days out so some cleaning is on the agenda and then I have the 2 youngest DGDs after school for tea and sleepover. So a busy day.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly OH's. Thinking of NRA. IZZY I hope your appointment went well. Take care one and all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -
Morning everyone thanks for your lovely thoughts unfortunately it didn’t go well yesterday they couldn’t unblock them and he gave me an option to have a operation they are blocked in the tubes behind my nose and they have to insert very fine tubes and they stay in for 3 months and then you go and have another operation to remove them and hopefully they will stay open but I had a choice of hospitals and if I went to Sunderland he would be the one that would be carrying out the operation and he said if it was up to him it isn’t often very successful especially as mine have been blocked for so long and I would probably have to have it done again in a few years but it was up to me weather I wanted to take the chance I have decided not to bother you can’t sneeze or they snap and that is it they are no good and have to be removed I have sneezed twice while writing this so if I had had a operation yesterday it would have been no good today so if you see a woman with a tissue in her hand constantly wiping her eyes it’s me .nice bright morning here I’m at work this morning then I am off until Monday I need to call for a bit of shopping I have got washing on the line it should dry hugs to those that need them thinking of all the poorlies have a good day everyone whatever you are doing14

It's a beautiful bright morning here is Devon - cold but hopefully it'll warm up a little later on. I want to get out in the garden and do a little tidying - when it gets windy here, the copper beech gets what my gran used to call 'God's pruning' and the bits of twig can really mess up lawn mowing! Not that the grass is dry enough for that, but one can but hope...
I'd just finished brushing my teeth when the doorbell summoned me - BT Openreach chap checking up that all is well with the broadband, as we've just changed to try to get better speeds. His appointment was between 8 and 12 and usually they arrive at the end of that time period, rather than the beginning. Anyway, we apparently have the most up-to-date hub and he went away happily whistling, so that's all good (I guess).
Jobs for the day - pick up DH's prescription, drop into Waitr*se for caster sugar (it's our only supermarket without driving 15 miles and I'm weighing up petrol vs sugar cost).
Wonderful news about Nazanin - she's been in my prayers for so long and the subject of many emails to my MP and others.
Izzy, yes - hope your appointment went well and they were able to help.
Gers - I have the same problem getting bras - why DO they keep pushing those moulded cups? I have enough of my own padding! I did get one of the old-fashioned Triumph Doreen non-wired ones and it was OK when I put it on first thing but after an hour, I had a low slung monoboob (not a good look). My girls may not be perky but I would like them to sit a bit higher than my waist!
OK - hugs to all who need them, especially those dealing with things that they don't post about. Love to all of you in this friendly little band - have a great day everyone xxx

Morning all, sunny after yesterdays interminabe rain. Cats are happy, they get to go for a morning constitutional. OH came home from wrok yesterday feeling rough, told him to take a test, he has covid. He's been in bed since he got home with paracetamol and fluids, so let's hope it's a mild one. I took one, negative, phew. I did absolutely nothing yesterday, besides the usual kitchen cleaning, but I did watch four films. It was too wet to sow the potatoes. Might be OK today, plus I have two doctors appointments for blood and another ecg so shower and dress on the cards.LH, maine coons! Oh they're so gorgeous..and big! And yes, the damn brassicas always have to be netted. Nanny, hope Mr Fixit is taking his sugar seriously today..And no, I really don't have him unfortunately but judging by OH, he might have snaffled him. Maddie, 40 miles for an eighty year old? I'm a fifty year old and 4 would have finished me off! Kudos to him. Florence, I did wonder why it was so dark at twelve yesterday, must have been the added sand. Floss, it's taken me eyars to get to this point, admittedly and a much smaller circle of people who profit by it. Cosy, enjoy your full house
Gers, can't help except some of the supermarkets have them, or M&S, but the internet should provide some answers if you specifically search for non-wired bras. TA, I laughed at you being grounded! Izzy, how very disappointing! If only they'd listened when it first started happening. Is there really nothing else they can do? Take care of yourselves, and hugs for anyone who needs them...

Good morning
Very nippy here today but at least it's dry.
I will finish packing for my walking holiday next week, then go for a walk 🚶♀️ hopefully it might have warmed up a bit by then.
I need to pick my prescription up and do a bit of shopping in H0me Barga1ns.
I'm really sorry you couldn't get any help Izzy
Hugs to all the sad and poorly.
Have as good a day as you can 🌻12 -
Hi everyone,
I was woken by a video call from Esben giving me a beautiful rendition of Happy birthday. He can really hold a tune, much better than I remember my two doing at that age. We had a lovely day with him yesterday although were a bit housebound because of the rain. I did take him out on his scooter and he alternated riding that and running along with me puffing alongside trying to keep up, he goes really fast.
Steve is full of cold and has tested negative twice so it does seem to be just a cold. We're increasingly becoming the outliers among friends and family by not having had covid.
Izzy, I'm sorry they couldn't sort your eyes out. Apparently I had an op on a blocked tear duct as a new born (64 years ago) but it must have been very superficial.
I too was thrilled at the news of Nazanin's release.
Have a good day.13
