If the current shed is in good nick would it be possible to reconfigure it?
I've done that before, disassembled and built new sections to make it larger.

Same here, plastic Keter shed, easy to assemble, solid and watertight, best of all no maintenance and price comparable to wood if you shop around or make use of discount codes.Ganga said:Wood or plastic /steel ? we bought a Keter plastic one that is first class and water tight.0 -
Check for companies in your local area who make their own. I wouldn't purchase online as I want to see the quality of construction before committing to a purchase. Our neighbours bought online and had to put timber shelving across the full length of the shed to give it some form of stability. They initially tried to put the roofing felt on by leaning over from a ladder and the entire shed started to deform.

This is an additional shed or summer house. I have a very old 30 years plus shed which I got second hand and recently had a new roof put on that one, it's small 6x4 I think, I'm looking for something 12x6. I'm not sure whether to go for a shed or summer house. Who knew how difficult it would be to choose a shedmaisie_cat said:If the current shed is in good nick would it be possible to reconfigure it?

Yes I am trying to find somewhere local to view one erected. I think I need to be clear in my mind what I want to use it for. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
I've had a few sheds over the past 30 years and have become completely fed up with felt roofs. If this shed is a long-term purchase you might want to consider a EPDM rubber roof instead. One of the garden buildings here has had one from new and is still perfect after five years. I re-roofed the second shed with EPDM last year using a kit from a big eBay seller.N. Hampshire, he/him.
