If you want them to ring you, click ask for PAC, but dont submit it, especially if it threatens you with early exit fee, I got call within 20 minutes.

Top tip, I will try that.

I think daughters phone is 10G for £9 before the rise.  She would like more data I was looking at 1P's 50G for £15 so I might try that and see what they offer.

I think you're likely to succeed, it's what I've been doing for years, EE retentions seem to be quite flexible if they can find that your alternative deal elsewhere is real.
Last time they gave me 3.2GB for £3 (12mth), increased last year by 27p and will this year by 46p, still with inclusive EU roaming.
    Evolution, not revolution

Yeah I could have gone lower than £15, I was offered 40 gig for £14 and was about to be read lower prices but took the £15.

I think its also if they think you serious about leaving, I had sent the query about the contract exit fees and clicked the PAC button, then they rang me.

I was of course not only prepared to leave but was going to leave.

Your £3 deal seems crazy good considering how EE has got so greedy on its normal pricing.

Also to note these retention deals are only 12 months so conveniently will have the upper hand on the next price increase as well.

I have just tried to contact EE to ask for help with the 14% hike from £16 a month sim only to £18.30 plus VAT and although they said they would put in a complaint it would be closed straight away as it is in the terms and conditions which I signed up to.  I have another 18months to go with 2 phones and they said they couldnt help me at all  It would cost over £300 per phone to get out of contract.  Surely there must be something Ican do.  3% is the max I expected it would increase by.  I may have another hike next year by the sounds of it too!!

Why did you think that the increase this month would only be 3%? When you took out the contract 6 months ago CPI was over 10%. The terms are very specific, don't think you have any grounds for not paying the increase.

There is a price increase every year. It’s in the small print. Hopefully OFCOM bans this practice sharpish.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
