Just opened an instant saver account with Atom Bank which now has 10K in it
I have a one year fix with another bank due to mature next week so looking to transfer it as the rate was a pitiful 0.49% for the last year...my question is
Can i also open a one year fixed saver account with Atom Bank too, even though I've just opened the instant saver with them? I like the interest to be paid monthly and I see the rate has increased to 1.60%
Finally, is the £85K protection applicable to each account or is it £85K in total for my account
Thanks in advance0 -
Yes, you can open multiple different accounts with Atom. The £85k limit applies across all the accounts you hold with Atom, so make sure the combined total is below £85k.SickGroove said:Can i also open a one year fixed saver account with Atom Bank too, even though I've just opened the instant saver with them? Can an Atom fixed term saver be funded directly from an Atom instant saver or must it come from an external linked bank account?
Thank you.0 -
Eh? Which account? Why are you only getting 1% when I get 1.35% in their Instant Saver?Deleted_User said:Atom have announced an increase to 1% from today. Email received.0 -

I have an instant savings account with Atom Bank. I opened a fixed term account hoping to transfer some of the money from my instant account into the new fixed term account. No such luck. The only way to do this is to transfer money to my external linked account and then from there into the new fixed term account. For an app based bank,I feel that their technolgy is somewhat lacking.0

I had to move the money from the instant saver to an external account to feed a new fixed rate. Their customer services informed me that they don't offer the option to move it internallymetrobus said:Can an Atom fixed term saver be funded directly from an Atom instant saver or must it come from an external linked bank account?
