Can I ask..
to login to this companies app - do you HAVE to use face or voice ID?Or can you just use a simple password if your prefer Instead
i really don’t wanna be messing about with face / voice recognition to get into my account

Though I wouldn't know why you wouldn't want to......
and I don’t want to ever be in the situation where i can’t login to withdraw my own money - because some stupid app refuses to recognise my face!!

I don't know where you read this but it is essentially completely baseless scaremongering.ranciduk said:

The way it really works is that you can always use your traditional login (e.g. emailID and password, or PIN etc etc) if the biometric login (finger, face, voice) doesn't work for some reason (which can happen intermittently). Biometric malfunction is not a reason for why you couldn't log in and withdraw your money.0 -
I found it temperamental in the early days of Atom (2017?) but now I find it completely reliable; more reliable than my memory for passwords in fact!ranciduk said:Mainly as I’ve heard it’s very temperamental for some customers

When I opened an Atom account, the process required face i.d., it wouldn't proceed further without. Kept coming up with "spoof". Some might say that about my boatrace but I had to phone them to complete the application. My face, even now, is always a "spoof" when trying to register. The only way I can log in is with a p.i.n.. In spite of registering my voice that has never worked either for logging in!However, for instant transfers both ways and their new rate, no problems.0

Sod this for a game of soldiers, I’ve sign up, very easy to get on board. I missed out on Ford UK paying 0.75%, that savings account disappeared quiet quickly.
The thing is I’m brand new to this digital app banking lark, didn’t even have a smart phone. So in short it took 24 hours to get a new smart phone and 24 minutes to get registered with Atom bank.
The question has to be asked if everyone follows my lead and money pours in when does Atom bank say enough is enough?

we'll probably be seeing some 0.95% or 1% accounts soon (I'm not counting Virgin's), so soon enough people will be catching the next big thing and less pressure on Atom to restrict new users0
