Strange hot cross bun & Easter egg flavours

Each to their own, I hate dried fruit with a passion, I am not religious and therefore the name hot cross buns means nothing, I am happy with lots of flavours and to be able to eat them all year round, my growing tummy might disagree thoughJosephK said:Aye, there's an ever increasing number of strangely flavoured buns, many of which bear little resemblance to that described. Other than a good quality fruit and spice one, most, to me, would be described by just one flavour - "dire." But then Mrs K often, and probably justifiably, calls me, among other things, old-fashioned.
By the way, among the increasingly exotic Easter eggs, has anyone seen a hot cross bun flavoured variety?

Rhubarb and custard ones not a winner for me, I could see little bits of rhubarb in it but it just tasted like a VERY sweet bread roll, have stuck the rest in the freezer for if I get desperate for a sweet fix sometime and they did have 30% off."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

A couple of Christmases ago they brought out a G&T variety of crisps. It was not a good product.JosephK said:Just spotted a hot cross bun flavoured gin advertised by Aldi.

Good grief- they are certainly trying to get a.. fool and his/her money easily parted!
Not sure what I felt when I saw that M&S had chocolate hedgehogs, octopi (or octopuses!) and dachshunds @£5 each instead of Easter eggs!!
The word Gimmick comes to mind!!!
There were reduced buns in Aldi this morning but I couldn't find the full price to work out what the new price would be... so they stayed on the shelf!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
