Then mention the new CoP and the level of charge for a keying in error under the new CoP when this is eventually introduced.
    Yep.

Which states that ALL keying errors are effectively in the gift of the parking operator to use better systems to avoid setting up consumers to fail, and so (going forward, in future) all such PCNs must be cancelled with no charge. At all.

Whilst the DLUHC Code is not in place yet, it is the 'gold standard' of rules to regulate parking on private land and the current delay will not revisit that section; it is in the new Code from 2023ish.

No links needed. Google DLUHC CODE PARKING.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

They wrote to me today to offer a £200 settlement which I don't intend to take.

Is it worth me emailing them and offering £25. I can then use this evidence (assuming they don't accept) as my attempt to settle?

Regarding the Beavis case it relates to a claim for an overstay in a retail park. Beavis argued that the charge was not a true estimate of loss.

You cannot argue this point however you actually paid for your ticket and have not disadvantaged other drivers. Your scenario was a minor issue (keying in error) De Minimis.

I would read how the new CoP treats a keying in error.

Those Excel signs are horrendous, Some of the information is written in very small font.

It is a pity that you did not provide more information in your initial posts as your defence could be more punchy.

Excel's WS are full of irrelevant twaddle and given that many judges only have 10 minutes reading time I doubt that they will read it.

Did you make the £25 WPSATC offer?
