Thanks, that was intentional rather than a mistake, I was trying to make the point that they weren't complying with an alternative industry CoP. I made an offer to resolve which was fair in line with the BPA.1505grandad said:From op (and title):-"I received an invoice from Excel last year as I incorrectly keyed my VRM."A heads-up for WS as there seems to be an incorrect statement in Defence i.e:-"During the appeal process the minor typing error became apparent and the claimant refused to deal with the error appropriately at the first stage appeal in line with the British Parking Association Approved Operator Scheme Code of Practice (BPA CoP) (Version 8 – January 2020) – Section 17."Excel are IPC AoS members.
Maybe a waste of time using that approach?0 -
Please just read other threads.
Only this afternoon - literally just now - someone posted a WS by a PPC (Highview) and we tore it to shreds. Go and read it. No link needed. It's today, on a Highview thread.
All these WS bundles are very long and they all deal with the defence, of course they do. Doesn't make them any good!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, that was rather silly.
In a similar way that I do not have to abide by the laws of Australia as I don't live in Australia (and never have).3 -
Post the claimant's WS here for the regulars to check. Upload it to Dropbox or similar and paste the link.
Redact personal info but leave in anything that is already in the public domain.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Well, it is very repetitive and I wonder how a Judge will like that. It does seem to miss the point about a minor keying error, which the new Government Code refers to specifically.
Are you right to quote BPA CoP ? I thought they were IPCThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.2 -

Excel are indeed IPC members, so reference to their Get your reg right campaign and their statement that it is a moral duty for PPCs to instal typo proof machines.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

The IPC's comments on Twitter about the use of typo proof machines being a moral duty.
The International Parking Community (IPC) on Twitter: "@_TheIPC's mantra is that no motorist should be marginalised - or humiliated! (See news article below) @_TheIPC's award nominated "Get Your Reg Right" campaign urges the manufacture of #typoproof #parking payment systems as a moral duty. #mondaythoughts https://t.co/izGqyc1wO0 https://t.co/ztH9lbYpX2" / Twitter
If you haven't submitted your WS yet, all of the above should go in your WS, with a question asking why the claimant has failed to follow this IPC requirement.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
