Just to add, we are retired and home all day. We've turned off the heating during the day and put on a few more layers.0

At least oil is back under 100ppl again now. Hopefully the panic buying is moving out of the pricing now and it will drop a bit moreI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Crisis not entirely over hereScreen grabbed Saturday 12th March 2022 (Note they now quote a £200 price point, they've never done that before)0

Or £1.2915 at the 300 litre rate...
Trading Standards in England enforce a minimum 500 litre delivery by tanker. But I see that NI suppliers are 'rationing' deliveries to 500 litres max (due to panic buying?).
Smaller volumes will always attract a premium price as the time taken and fuel to move the tanker(s) from place to place remain the same.0 -

Sadly, although heating oil has a 70% domestic usage in NI, the industry here is totally unregulated - although there are numerous calls now for that to change. No one is panic buying £1000 deliveries of oil, far different to stocking up on toilet rolls and pasta at a few quid LOL 500 liters is by far the most common top up size of home delivery, even before the current madness.

Luckily needed a delivery before it went wild, a mate got it for 103ppl yesterday, Central Scotland.
My usual supplier put a thing out saying they may not get it out to customers as quick any more (normally 1-2 day delivery, no premium). They will give an estimated delivery date, and call the day before with the price to check you're still willing to pay it.
