Had my council tax bill through a couple of days ago (band C) - came with the leaflet someone else showed a photo of - no other mention of the rebate.
Council's website says:If you pay by Direct DebitIf you pay by Direct Debit we will start to make payments around April and these will go directly in to your bank account. If you pay by any other wayWe are still in the process of finding a way to pay these to you. As soon as we know, the information will be on this page.0 -

When we were liable for Council Tax, we paid by DD. Having been on Pension Credit for almost 3 years, will the Council still have our details for the £150 payment or will we have to apply?0

We live in a house in council tax band E but pay council tax band D under the Council Tax Disabled Band Reduction Scheme. Should we also be eligible for the new £150 council tax rebate targeted at council tax bands A to D or not? (with apologies in advance if this has been answered elsewhere, I'm a newbie here and couldn't find an answer on this point) Thanks for any help with this!0

1. This document describes the methodology for allocating funding for the Council Tax Rebate. The fund comprises the following elements:
- The Council Tax Rebate: Under the main scheme, billing authorities are expected to provide a one-off £150 payment to all chargeable dwellings and dwellings in exemptions classes N, S, U and W, which are valued in council tax bands A to D (or have an alternative valuation band of band D as a result of the disabled band reduction scheme.) Empty and second homes are excluded. The specific criteria are set out in paragraph 11 of the published scheme guidance. This is estimated to cost £2.93 billion.
- The Discretionary Fund: In recognition that billing authorities may wish to provide support to households who are not eligible under the terms of the main scheme, councils will receive a share of a £144 million discretionary fund.

I Live in a E band house in Wales, it is a 4 bedroom housing association and I receive universal credit and work, but apparently I am just above the threshold to receive council tax reduction, so therefore do not qualify for the rebate, how is this fair. I work hard to support my family with 3 kids, however I know that the 3 bedroom house down the road from me is a D band and they will get the rebate, with his Mercedes and Porsche on the drive. I don’t understand how this is meant to support those who are struggling0

I purchased my band A property on 31st March but did not move in until 2nd April. My council have told me I do not qualify for the £150 because the government rule is that you have to have been living at the property on 1st April. So I have missed out by one day. Surely this cannot be correct ????0
