Afternoon all,
@savingholmes, I can get Wifi and the cafe/bar/restaurant all have wifi, so I won't be marooned, but it might be inconvenient. If it's the stuff I do for my main client then I can download it and work on it, but stuff for other clients tends to be done online, so trickier. I'm not too worried - I think we'll enjoy having a low-key holiday tbh. Mr MV wants to do lots of photography, so I can always work while he's off taking photos (the campsite is right on the beach and he wants to get arty with slow exposures etc., so he'll be a while!).
Skip is still here now... never mind. Looked in Curry's and JL last night, but none the wiser - if I bought from the high street the laptop would be much lower spec for the price, which is why I bought from the specialist... I might ask them for a new one rather than a repair. At least then there wouldn't be the delay and hopefully it won't have any of the issues. In any case, I haven't had time to do anything today.
May be going to London tonight, but will have to see how Mr MV is feeling when he gets in. Sky is so dark here, but neither Accuweather nor the Beeb think it's going to rain....
Have been to see a physio this morning about what I considered was a recurring problem (have seen osteo in past for it). He basically told me I was falling apart and it was the fault of my flat feet. It made for pretty uncomfortable hearing, but at least he said it was all fixable if I put in the effort. (Ugh, effort.... but I don't want to fall apart, so I guess I'd better get on with it). £47 today and it will be £39 in future - next appointment in a fortnight, exercises to be emailed tonight or tomorrow, so I can make a start.
MS things:
* Clicks done, no HW wins
* YG survey done
Gratitudes:
* All issues fixable
* Easy conversation with the physio about the Queen etc.
* Working from the living room today and I can see the beautiful fuschia through the window
Have a good afternoon/evening all!

Flat feet are eminently fixable - I had flat feet as a titchy one, and couldn't really walk. Very lucky I was in Liverpool, children's clinics were roaring along - I had personally-built inserts to my shoes, on the NHS, plus 1 to 1 lessons at a clinic to develop the muscles in my feet (picking up a sock between your toes is great fun when you're only two years old 😄
I hope you manage to get to London - I've been peeking at the coverage all day, it all looks pretty jolly, almost like a dance sometimes. But health comes first.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
We’re in the queue to join the queue… have been for over an hour!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

It is rather jolly though- Tower Bridge is beautiful, we’ve seen a fox, a Bobby on a bike even said “Evening all”. And the queue ushers are great. Nearly at wristbands now.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh wow! I'm really glad you're doing it! Best of luck, it actually sounds like a wonderful experience.2023: the year I get to buy a car4

Thanks Karma. Less of a wonderful experience currently as word is they’ve closed the hall temporarily for cleaning… we haven’t moved in 40 mins, which is quite painful. However, we’re out of the wind and there’s shop open opposite, so I’ve bought some water and we’ve had some much needed ibuprofen! Hope we get moving again soon though - until this point it had been fairly flowing.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Nearly 12 hours now since you joined the queue - I hope you're out the other side and sitting somewhere in the warm. I do keep hearing about temporary closures - change of the guard, private vigil, all sorts of things. Tell us the story when you can.2023: the year I get to buy a car5
