    That's much stronger now.

Change "during the original claim" in para 13 to "at or around the time of the alleged parking event".

Can you attach evidence of you working for an Airline at the time, and a copy of that year's car insurance if it named 2 other drivers?  Either or both as extra exhibits would help make even a cynical Judge agree that, on the balance of probabilities, the driver was not you.

    A couple of pedantic observations:-

Para 34  -  (typo)  -  "....incurred in travelling to and from the (heating) (including fares and/or
    parking fees...)

Para 36  -  (typo)  -  ".....to make contracts with drivers and litigate in their (one) name...."

Hi thank you everyone who has been assisting me in this claim but I am delighted to be able to say that I today received a letter of discontinuance from DCBL  along with the N279. I cannot thank you enough nor can I recommend you more highly, so from the bottom of my very relieved heart thank you very much and if I can be of any help in any way I am certainly available.

    Regards

Brilliant, well done. Your thread will now be linked in the DCB Legal discontinuations thread of shame which will be shown to Govt in the next stage of the consultation around the Bill to bring the out of control private parking sector to heel. Please do contribute to that consultation - bookmark the following thread which will be used to notify the start of that process (reportedly in March).

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Woohoo! That's a win!

    Well done!

But what a waste of your time - grrr!

ANOTHER HIGHVIEW ONE BITES THE DUST!

And...get your revenge for this harassment.  There is one favour we do ask, if you can.

Please don't miss the upcoming Public Consultation to change the private parking law and cap the 'greedy money' down at a lower level.

You must take part, you know how horrific this is and have now won your case, but how draining and stressful this crap is - and why should consumers have to suffer this relentless bullying claptrap?

How long after submitting your WS, did you receive the discontinuance? Well done!

Hi, In answer to your question Quidditch, I didn't get to the point where I received or sent a WS. I received the letter in the post 2 days after the date the court fees were due. Although sadly I have to say I spent many, many hours preparing the WS and was almost ready to submit it as I couldn't be certain I wouldn't be seeing them in court. Hope that helps.

Excuse the naivety. I am going through this process for the first time.
I've submitted my defence and had a court date sent to me. I plan to submit my WS 14 days prior to this date. When in this process do the court fees become due and due for who?
