@knightstyle No need to stand in the rain. Have your heaters / immersion heater or the fused spur switch got a neon that comes on when E7 kicks in ?

nothing like that, just gas for heating and hot water.  Wanted to know the times so we can put washing machine etc on the cheap rate.
We are on that tariff after moving last year and previous owners had E7 or similar.

Thanks everyone, I did ask BG but have not had a reply.  This is the tariff and I don't feel like standing out in the rain to see when the meter switches over.
I think I have the cheapest electricity available till July!

You don't want me to tell you that right now, and on a SV tariff, our night rate is 3p a unit lower than that, do you... (You are definitely going to be winning from April > July though - just make sure you do the sums so you are aware - and start planning for - a VERY steep rise to come in your bills from August onwards though!)

Do you know your annual consumption on each E7 rate? You might be better off taking a single-rate tariff.

Wait - you're on an Economy 7 tariff but don't use electricity for heating and water? Why not just get changed to a single rate tariff? There's no WAY you're getting enough benefit from the cheap night rate to make paying the higher peak rate if you're only using off peak for appliances!

E7 is not usually cost effective if you use gas for heating and hot water because the day rate is higher than the standard rate without E7. Having said that you should stay as you are until the end of the fixed term tariff. After that you should ask British Gas if they can put you on single rate tariff. Of course by then the new OFGEM capped Standard Variable Rates will be applicable with unit rates about 27p/kWh, and standing charge about 40p/day.

Yes I know this and will switch to a single tariff when the deal ends at end of July.  But I inherited the E7 when we moved last year and with moving, covid etc. was too busy to change it then, Not worth changing now as no one can get near the 10.4 and 22.5 p/wkh I am getting till then.

Do the sums: it might be worth changing now.  You should be able to stay on your existing tariff but at the single rate, and it'll probably apply almost immediately. Every little helps !

Do you know who was the supplier when you moved in?  BG don't make changes to smart meter settings it would seem, so It'll still be set to what it was previously.  Watching the meter is the only way to know for sure these days :(

If the OP is with BG on E7 they likely don't have a smart meter, judging by feedback from others on the subject.
