  • Paid off another £365 off my loan today so now my total debt is under £5000 :j :j :j :j :j

Amazon have still got my account under review and keep asking me to co-operate and give then information but they can't tell me why I am being reviewed or what information they want.

I just keep getting automated emails.

I have 100% positive ratings and no one has complained about anything. All that happened was I made the mistake with the model number of the computer and the guy needed a refund. I took the computer back and refunded him all his money. I think this must be why they are reviewing it.

Anyway there is £560 on that blocked account and if I get that ever then that will help towards next months bills.

Off to update my sig now.

  • Okay so Amazon have unlocked my account and £450 is on its way to my bank account. So that will help paying the bills next month.

Also we are getting married next weekend on a budget of £200. It will be at the registry office for £45.50 and then we will be taking our witnesses out for a pub lunch. This money was saved up from before though.

I am also wearing an old dress and OH has a great suit already so we don't need to buy any of the clothes. Last weekend we bought the wedding rings for £6 each. They are only temporary and silver but they look quite nice.

Now I am not sure if I should cancel my car insrance this month or wait until next month as I will have to pay a £50 cancelation fee.

Am also just about to start trying to sell my car. I still need it for two and a half weeks though.

£50 seems like a lot to lose so I think I'd leave cancelling the car insurance till next month. Anyway, if you're trying to sell, you may need the insurance to take a prospective buyer out for a ride in it.

    Good luck!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Well I'm married now and all for £145!

For that we got married at the registry office, took the two witnesses out for a really lovely lunch and stayed the night in a posh hotel. Not bad really!

Still not sure how I am going to make it at the end of the month though. As long as I sell the car it should be ok... I hope!

Have also been spending way too much lately on food and all sorts. I need to take this much more seriously. Read a gread thread today by someone who feels that way too - like they are not trying hard enough.

I could have cut the debt by a lot more if I would have taken it more seriously. I have my total debt written down in my wallet now, stuck to my debit cards with a post it so I hope that will help a little.

Still no luck with gettting our flat rented out here. And we'll be leaving in just under two weeks.

  • I have just joined the I do not NEED that DVD Tough love club :j

I really need this as i am uncontrolably adddicted to DVDs (and shopping generally)

It's mostly becasue of this that I am in debt. So hopefully this will help me restrain myself.

Another week until I move to Europe. i am quite excited and at least we will both be earning money again.

Still have nobody to rent my flat to though. Hopefully I will find someone once the flat is empty. It is tiny especially now as it is full of boxes.

Am also a little impatient as I don't know if I've sold my car yet and also I don't know how much I will get paid at the end of the month. Will have to wait another two weeks for this!

  • Hi

I have just committed the DFW sin of sins. I have consolidated

I know ... I know but before you all start screaming at me I think in my situation it was the best thing to do.

I am moving abroad and I am making no progress paying off OD and CC as I keep spending what I pay off again and again.

So I have payed of the CC and OD with the loan and most importantly I have cancelled them both already! So the card and OD are gone. Now I have the loan which I will pay off in 12 months starting from 1 April. I don't have an overpayment option but I can pay it off early.

So I still want to be debt free this year.

I will therefore pay off £450 on the loan per month and put £450 in my ISA to pay off the loan ASAP.

As I am moving abroad I will have a non-existent credit rating there and even if I did want another CC or OD (which I don't) I wouldn't be able to get one for about 2 years.

And at 15.4% APR I know that is high but it is quite a bit lower than my CC.

  • My last day at work today - another few minutes and I am off!

I am angry with myself that I am going to move abroad with so much debt would have been much nicer if I didn't have to keep transferring money over to my English accounts to pay off the loan.

On the positive side I have sold the car so I have enough money for two mortgage payment and one and a half loan repayments.

Still waiting to find someone foe the flat though.
