Yes Thank you. That actually the one our friend is hassling for us. The trouble is we are being quite specific in what we want.

You need to go on that TV programme The Doghouse where they match up people with their ideal dog. I really hope you find one soon 🙏🤞
We were quite specific when we were searching the rescues for a dog. We were adamant we didn’t want a puppy as Mr SA wanted to be able to take it to work with him. We ended up with a puppy, not through choice though.I follow a rescue on social media Pudz Animal Sanctuary although they are well out of your area in North Lincolnshire. The woman who runs it is amazing she literally rescues any animal or bird that other rescues would just put down.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
We are happy to drive a couple of hours each way but more than that is too much for MrL plus we would need at least two visits. We have applied for several but our number hasnt come up yet.Mr L seems to be coping a little better at present but it really upsets him when we get either a rejection or nothing back.I have been into town today and got a couple of presents and some othe bits and pieces and this afternoon a trip to Lidl to get a dozen bottles of Gluwein which is a December favourite of ours.Nothing else toda and its time to make coffee.Goodnight.4

We applied for yet another dog on Saturday evening and were really surprised to get a phone call yesterday to go and see him. A fairly local rescue so we went almost immediately. He is a 6 years border collie. A little younger than we really wanted but we are assured he is a good boy although he pulls on his lead. This is just a training issue that we can work with. Anyway the upshot is we said we would like to adopt him and had a homecheck today. His recall seems pretty good but he is a little obsessed with sheep (the rescue had some sheep) which wont be a problem at home but might be more of a challenge when Mr L goes to his festivals next year. Assuming everthing with the homecheck is ok and the vets give us a decent reference ( which they should do) we should have a new dog very soon.Of course now Mr L is worrying that something will go wrong and we wont get him although he is on the rescues reserved list so fingers crossed we wil hear something tomorrow. I am going for my monthly visit to my BiL on wednesday to avoid the rail strikes next week so Thursday is the earliest he can come as its not fair for me to be out for 12 hours the minute he comes.4 ebay parcels posted today and another one is still to be paid for. There will be no more untill after Christmas as I have taken everything off. I cant be bothered with the long queues at the PO and as the last posting dates have been brought forward because of the strikes I know people will be complaining when things dont arrive. Having said that the the shirt I ordered for my BiL hasnt arrived so unless it comes tomorrow I will have to post it. I have also cashed out another £5 on surveys.I received my credit card bill today for the euthanasia and cremation of Mr H and the little one and was really shocked to read ( in very small print) that if you only make the minimum payment the interest will be more than the payment which means you debt will actually rise. I rarely use the credit car these days so have never noticed that. When we did owe on it I always paid over the minimum anyway. Now thanks to advice on here and budgeting I can pay the bill in full and only used the cc as it was easy and I didnt have to fiddle moving money when we were upset.Nothing else to report. Keep your finger crossed for us and stay warm.3
