diinozzo said:Here is what Lego themselves say about the car:-
Designed in close collaboration between engineering experts from the LEGO Group and McLaren Racing as the new Formula 1 race car was in development, the new model plays homage to the team’s iconic 2021 season livery, while giving fans a glimpse of what they might expect from McLaren Racing’s new F1 season model.
It really doesn't matter what Lego says. The OP's contract is with the retailer, and if they can show that the information on the website is not accurate they have potential grounds to reject the item.

You could always sell it , the fact that it sold out on the day it was released means you will prob get more than you paid.
it was never going to be a an exact model of the 22 car as it was designed before the 22 car was released as you would know if you are in to lego or F1
I had looked at getting it but the the mismatch of car and livery put me off plus its quite expensive ( per brick) given it looks like an easy build
edit there are none available on Ebay so should command a premium0
