Hi i love a fresh month and a plan. Great your husband is on board. i totally get the mummy meets and the MH aspect and dont ever feel bad about it because for me, that was essential!

Have a lovely Brunch Im just back from the bank so i have take out my pocket money and put my cards away. Cash is  best for me just now lol :)

    xx
Yes mummy meets are so important, I was/am so lucky to have 6 close friends who all had their baby in the same month and year so we have remained friends since before they were born! I try hard with my other friends who are expecting to see them when they're pregnant and after the baby is here as I know how isolating it can be!

Yay for cash! It really does make you change your mindset doesn't it?! I feel like I've spent a fortune this week but all in budget 😅

So I checked my balances last night (because I'm obsessed!) And saw that my Fluid card was offering a credit limit increase... And my first thought was 'oh I can't accept it because I'm trying to pay off everything!' then my other half said but if you accept it it'll help your credit utilization on your file... So I did it! It went from £1200 to £2700. So I must be doing something right for them to want to raise it.

I checked my file this morning... Again, obsessed and Capital One has updated the numbers so my score (which I know is useless but fun all the same) has gone up by 26 points 🙌 so that's a nice indicator that I've been doing something right!

Today I want to do a No spend day as I feel like I have spent so much this week as it's payday week. Just need to think of something to do with the kiddo that doesn't cost anything! Last night we went for an evening with Tim Peake, such an interesting show which made me laugh and cry!

How are you guys getting on?

Ahh thanks Tea! Yours is the only one I've subbed to!

So today has been a no spend day (thus far!)

I met with a friend at hers and the kids did some painting craft then came home and didn't venture into the shopping place she lives right next to, not even to Tesco 😅 so that was a win.

We came home and had some eggy bread from the stuff in the cupboards and then I spoke to a lovely chap about life insurance as I think my current plan is too outdated and probably void as I haven't told them about the reaction I had to the covid booster jab (which resulted in a liver biopsy etc 😳) but hopefully all being well I'll have a new plan that also covers critical care for my daughter too which is a good peace of mind! I also have lost 4 stone since I set up my last policy 2 years ago 😅

Off to the shop in a minute to send off a top I sold on vinted, it's only £3 but it's better than nothing! But... MUST NOT BUY ANYTHING WHEN IM THERE!

Thank you 😊😊 I have had that card for years and it's been sky high for a really long time with only the minimum payments... I dread to think how much interest I've spent 😭😭 but one card down, 3 to go!

    Cheers Dan!

So yesterday we went to soft play, I took snacks etc but couldn't keep away from the little cakes and you can't eat your own food at soft play so... 😅

Then we popped to the discounted shop along the road and bought some bits and bobs for the weekend.

I dropped the little human to my parents and then went to work.

While at work my favourite band of all time have set up a subscription service for secret stuff and whatnot and of course I have to be in on that so it is $10 a month or £7.72 is a new expense 😂

£180 made yesterday from my bank shift (before tax etc obviously) so that'll be a nice extra payment next week for my fluid card.

Today we have no real plans, I'll probably buy some craft bits for the kiddo as she loves making stuff (a mess mostly) and tomorrow I am at work all day 😭

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

    Hello 👋👋

It's a new week! New £50 pocket money and new challenges!

So over the weekend I tried to be good taking a mic meal to work for lunch... And then realising half of it needed to go in the oven 😩 so had to go to the shop and get something else as 12.5hr shifts are too long without food!

Credit Karma messaged me this morning so say well done for paying down my credit card.. I'm now under 50% utilisation across the board which considering at the new year I was at 98% I've done quite well 😂

I know I need to pay off my Fluid card next as it's got interest but at the end same time my Aqua card is so high it's scaring me 🙃 just gotta remember that £850 of the £1144 balance is 0%😅

So plans this week include seeing my bestie, so that will be a little pricey as we will need to drive and meet her half way. I've got 2 bank shifts booked so around £250ish after tax etc for next week's debt throwdown! Payday Friday for last week's shift is around £140 so that's all good 😊😊

What's your plans for the week?
