Well done.  Yes the facts about payment will be part of paragraph 3 of your defence, stating that you recall the terms were ambiguous but you believe you complied and have evidence of payment.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi All,

ive sent off my defence on Friday. Should I have received some kind of acknowledgement from the CCBC? I’m just waiting now for the questionnaires and a letter to prepare a WS? Is that right?

Yes you should have received an automated email receipt when you sent it.

You can also check your MCOL Claim History from time to time and if by (say) Friday it doesn't show something like...
Your defence was received on dd/mm/yyyy
...then maybe send it again or query the situation with the CCBC - phone number on your Claim Form.

I thought you were going to show us your Defence before you filed it?
    @Coupon-mad did ask:
Do this and - unlike that OP - please don't remove other stuff from the template (only replace the stuff about the Semark-Jullien case with my suggested new words and let's see what it looks like)!

It will really help me to see someone try to replace the old words about double recovery with the new, because I'd then have something to work with to edit the current template defence:

They haven’t acknowledged with an auto reply and no new updates on the MCOL website so I will give them a call today. I have sent coupon mad my defence via message just because it was trial and error at first with updating the new double recovery wording. He has kindly helped me with it, I will post on here too when I jump on my laptop later :)

I have called the court this morning and queried the email. I had sent the email to CCBCAQ all in capitals but according to the gentleman on the phone, this needs to be sent in lower case and then it will automatically jump to capitals once sent. Funny I know, but second time it worked and I received an acknowledgment!

    Hahaha. That's a different excuse.

Lots of people here happily send their Defence to CCBCAQ (in capitals) and it works just fine - if it is sent during the working day.

Are they really saying that one must use lowercase if sending an email after 4pm, but it's ok to use uppercase before 4pm?

     :)

I honestly have no idea, I did tell them also that the email isn’t anywhere on the court forms or on their website. If it wasn’t for your post Keith I wouldn’t have had a clue about where to send it and would have opted for the online defence via MCOL!

...and if you had tried sending your Defence via the MCOL website, it would've been truncated.
The box on the MCOL website simply is not big enough and apart from that, it destroys all formatting and presents the reader - the Judge - with a garbled text.

Their processes really need a bit if a 'tidy up', but how can that be made to happen?

I of course realise that this might not be of much interest to you now, but I mention it in case others read it and consider using that MCOL Defence box.

Hi All, I sent my defence off 8th March but still haven’t received anything from the claimant just an acknowledgement from the courts that they have received my defence. Is this normal?

Yes extremely normal.  The CCBC will send your defence to the claimant who will then have 28 days to confirm to CCBC that they wish to proceed.
