Possible break down of a chain

I have tried phoning my solicitor today and. I answer.
to then send her an email for an automated message to back stating she’s out of the office until Monday 😡
I have phoned the solicitors directly asking for a response from someone, someone is phoning me at midday.
this is just awful service0 -
These transactions go on for months, and the solicitor is entitled to some leave. It’s not cost effective for someone else to take over the files just for a week or two.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

The solicitor in the time I have been with her has had a lot of time off.I emailed her yesterday, she could have informed me that she was away until Monday and speak with her PA.Are you a solicitor out of interest ?0

Star133, please don't stress, these things do happen.I'm currently being dragged into a house sale where the deceased party of the sellers in the transaction (top of chain) used a made-up middle name when he bought the property which isn't on his death certificate. The buyer's solicitors are being cautious in case he turns up claiming the house was sold without his consent...The buyers buyers are kicking off (FTB) because they want to move now even though the top chain is moving to rented.I'd tear my hair out if I had any left.May you find your sister soon Helli.

I'm technically not a party to the transaction. Its a family member who is. I just happen to be a useful person to ask.I wouldn't mind but that will be the 7th property transaction in 2 years my wife and I will have had some emotional link to (includes failed ones) and I am a little weary. My view is that whilst it is always advisable to help other parties involved in your property chain, there is professional curtesy. If you have no direct link to an agent you are helping them due to your goodwill not because you are compelled to. This individual is bothered about hitting her target only which is not your problem but I suspect is why she is getting pushy and rude (she should be better at selling houses then!).We were lucky our new build was finished when we bought it (original buyer pulled out) plus we completed without issue (we were renting). When the sales agent tried to get cocky with us he didn't get far mainly because we are too long in the tooth and him not sufficiently experienced to be cable to pull rhe wool over our eyes.May you find your sister soon Helli.
