Sasanova said:Guys I am still in a state of disbelief!!! I can’t believe this has come to an end after 4 years of hell, a part of me still thinks “are they gonna continue with the other two”? I keep reading the email over and over again.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for providing such invaluable advice and support specially Coupon mad and Keith P, It would not have been possible, I give you all a virtual 🤗Woohoo! Calling @Umkomaas!
ANOTHER DISCONTINUANCE!ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
And we sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation?
Looks unlikely to be published before Xmas, but keep your eyes peeled in early 2023.
We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA gaslighting of people.
Just checking you are among those ready to respond to the questions as you have personal experience of how this crap feels?
Please come back here when it opens, and you can make sure you don't miss the Consultation:

Entry to the DCB Legal thread of shame coming up. #71.Hey, hey @Sasanova, your parking woes are now over (for this case at least!).Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks again everyone I’m feeling a bit more optimistic now and I hope after this one they won’t bother with the others, it was too much of a coincidence that I sent that response email on Saturday about the other 2 PCNs not related to the one going to court and today they responded with the discontinuance!!
here’s hoping 😊1 -

Hi guys my good news was short lived today I got a judgement for claimant (in default) from County Court Business Centre. Informing me that I have not replied to the claim form that I must pay the claimant £442.32 and £122 cost totalling £564.32. I gather this is for the other 2 tickets however I have never received any claim form from either County Court Business Centre or the claimant (DCBLegal) therefore this County Court judgement has been passed without giving me a chance to defend it!!! I have just come off the phone with the clerk at the CCBC and he blamed it on the postal strike but I find that unbelievable since the claimant have my email anyway he is going to email me a form to fill in to ask the court to look at this case again.
I really wanted to know if anyone here has come across this situation before that without notification to pass the judgement in one's absence please.

Yes. This is nothing new of course.
That's why a section of the NEWBIES thread deals with setting aside a CCJ, which you will also notice that every ten or so threads here every day is about. Read some!
It's not just a form to fill in.
Did you ask for a copy of the Particulars of Claim or didn't you read any set aside threads yet and just phoned up the CCBC in a panic without coming here first to read about such cases?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I just phoned in a panic as you rightly say probably because I never received a letter of claim even from ccbc and he has just emailed me a the form N244 which is asking for £275 fee which I find unbelievable, I really don't know what's the next step? Do I have to pay the court ruling of £564.32 and do I have to pay the £275 for N244 separate which is round about £800 it would have been cheaper to pay right at the start and avoid ccj . Does this mean I now have a ccj against my name even though I was not given a chance to defend?0

I never read anything about set aside because it was irrelevant at the time I don't even know what a copy of particular of claim is.0
