  • Thanks guys!

Hoping to have NSD today. Haven't got anywhere close to my 10 target for June but adding a couple more would be good!

Still no sign of switching bonus. Terrible customer service from bank. 3 different people have given me 3 different timescales for when I should receive. At this rate will be very surprised if I will get it at all despite meeting all criteria. From looking on MSE current accounts forum seems like a lot of people having issues with this particular bank. I tried to submit a complaint but not sure if I was talking to a robot or actual person. Either way they didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about so have given up for now. If not in my account in next couple of weeks I'll call again and make a proper complaint.

Feel like I can't really make too much fuss as it is free money but very frustrating to try to sort out!

    Miserable cloudy day here.

    Hope everyone is well!

  • Gosh I sounded impatient in last post  :#

Still no sign of money from that particular bank but £125 in today from another switch. Paid £35 to CC and the rest to my non-EF, which has brought it above my £500 target and total debt to £3060. Got a feeling will be dipping into non-EF before the end of the month! In fact I know I will for a holiday payment but just for general spending as well potentially unless I reign things in a bit. My total additional income not from my salary is now over £500 since January though. Around £400 from switching and £100 from various payback rewards and vinted sales. Not too bad!

Today and yesterday were almost NSDs but not quite. Maybe can make tomorrow the last day of June one! I think I just need to be more organised as always find something crops up. Will aim again for 10 in July and see if I am more successful.

Friday I am off work and planning a big clothes sort and putting everything on vinted. Need a clear out of my wardrobe!

    Hope everybody doing well  :)

  • Hi Sunshine_raincloud I've just caught up with your diary! You have done so amazingly well with debt shifting. I'm excited to see you celebrate your debt free date in the very near future xxx
  • Thanks so much @beanielou and @Deleted_User!

Most of my bills have come out of my current account today. This included £150 regular payment to savings meaning I now have around £1700 saved including EF. Need to have a think about savings. Might open another savings account. Some of this money will be spent though on holiday coming up.

Also having an issue with my new spending account. The 1% cash back is good but I'm really struggling with not being able to see how much I am spending in each area. I have been trying to keep track in spreadsheet but finding it too time consuming with everything else going on. Obviously so much easier when it is all there for you in the app! Really missing it. Not sure what to do and whether to go back to my old account where everything is categorised for you. The app on the new bank seems to have a few glitches as well. Currently can't even see any of my transactions! It makes me feel a bit nervous. Might stick it out for this month and then if I am still struggling just sacrifice the 1% and go back to old account for peace of mind! Not sure if anyone has any advice?

Today I am going to list some more clothes on vinted and have a big clear out. Need to return something to shop as well. I'm visiting friends this weekend but will set myself a relatively strict budget. Then when I am back on Monday will meal plan for the week.

I would go back to your old account.
Any sign of the cash back payment?

  • Yes I think you're right. Will look into switching back. Not worth the stress! I am a control freak by nature  :D

    No delayed switch money yet..

Also just checked my CC balance and it is £35 less than I thought. I think they might have put the recent £35 payment I made through twice as one is showing as bank transfer and one is showing as card payment but pending? Really very confused. In fact might just look through my diary and see if I didn't make two payments for same amount (lucky everything is documented!) but I''m pretty certain I didn't. I think they will realise eventually and take it off but I don't like things not looking exactly as I expect them to! Definitely a control freak..

Few more items up on vinted. Will only make around £20-30 maximum if they all sell but better than nothing!
