Can you get someone from women's aid to ring them on your behalf now and confirm in writing? Obviously, you'll need to give consent to the PRA for them to speak to Women's Aid. Do you have email contact?
Do you have anything from when you were attacked? Discharge notice? Copy of "fit note"?

i alreay have a letter from my caseworker stating the DV and financial abuse. and yes i have photos and a dischage letter following my surgery1

Make sure you keep the original but I'd send them a copy of the letter and the discharge letter, if that refers to injury inflicted by another.
They can ask for more if they need it but you've shown willing and have reliable evidence.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
