    How old is your grandchild?

9 so too young to be able to have rights?

Incidentally I have checked further and it appears that those who said there is no legal right to contact seem to be correct. Thanks for making me check and apologies.

Sorry to hear you have not been given access to your grandchild.

Try to communicate logically with your daughter to understand her concerns and come up with a fair plan going forward.

Why can't you speak to your daughter? It seems that there's a far bigger problem here, as Brie has suggested.

Sadly, in spite of the advice you have received, it really isn't illegal to keep grandchildren and grandparents apart.

You can make application, as per the link unforeseen has given above, but it will probably only cause really bad feeling since it goes down the official court route.

Why not ask your daughter to communicate with you in a proper way? If that's not possible, maybe give her some space. It seems like she has things going on that you aren't aware of (so you are making your own assumptions which may or may not be correct) and is probably not meaning to hurt you. Especially if she has a controlling partner. We parents have to try to give our children our unconditional love, though, even when we don't understand what's going on. Your daughter may very well need your help and support in the future.

I would definately not use the legal team you spoke to again, and if you paid for their contribution I'd be asking for a recalculation of their bill.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Is your daughter  the person referred to in your other post?

Could the subject of that post be the reason for the conflict over your grandchild?
