    Hi all,

An update - received a letter from DCB this morning advising they are discontinuing court proceedings! Great result! Thanks for all your help so far.

Now I'm not one to back down so is it worthwhile attempting to counter claim for costs/expenses incurred?

    Thanks all.

Monkey off your back, nice result.

Nope.  Not unless the discontinuation is within 7 days of the allocated court hearing. What costs/expenses have you actually incurred?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The hours spent replying to their claim and the 3 hours spent writing the WS etc.

Unlikely - but there is an example by @bluetoffee1878 in the NEWBIES thread already, where he succeeded.

Mainly please get your own back by responding to the Government Final Consultation on the level of parking charges (and the fake added DRA fee) later this year.

And to make sure you don't miss it, you've bookmarked the Announcement thread by MSE_JC as discussed there this month so no newbie misses the Consultation?
