    3.   The alleged event was over five years ago so it is difficult to remember the complete facts, however it is known that I the defendant did park in the stated car park on the alleged date of the event. It is also known that there were major construction/building works going on at the time of the alleged event.
Edit as above, defences are written in third person.

"2.   It is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle in question but liability is denied."

As you are admitting driving add "and driver" after "keeper" as presumably you are also denying liability as driver.

Always in working hours for the reasons stated in the first post of the Template Defence Thread (which also tells you in 12 steps, about the next stages and forms).

No, the defence is only sent by e-mail to CCBC who then deal with it on your behalf, including sending a copy to the claimant.  All this is explained in the NEBWIE sticky if you ever have a question about the process.

Thanks. I read conflicting info where some said to include the law firm in the defence email, other threads said not to.

I'l just send to the CCBC email address.

We were recommending it a little while ago as the CCBC were not sending it to the claimants for some reason but this seems to be OK again now.

Earlier today @Johnersh suggested that everyone should routinely serve their Defence on the Claimant...
    Johnersh said:
Everyone should routinely email pleadings to the claimant in my view.  There is no down side to doing so and the claimant would not then have applied.
