O2, Three and Virgin Mobile Price Hikes

Virgin Mobile were on one2one/T-Mobile/EE for around 20 years and changed to Vodafone last year.Supatramp said:Been with Virgin for several years, but already suffered a nearly 2 day of no signal when an O2 mast went down.Just switched to BT/EE and saved myself £60 a month. There is, as of now, no actual connection between Virgin Mobile and the o2 mobile network so an o2 outage would never have impacted your Virgin service.Due to the merger this will change if Virgin Mobile can get out of the new 5 year service agreement with Vodafone that they only signed in 2019.

The justification for the huge price hike on mobile contracts is ‘inflation’. Unless you have a SIM-only deal, most of the monthly charge is effectively repaying the cost of the phone - so why on earth is this loan repayment allowed to rise so much?0
