I received a date for court a while back and interestingly last week I got a letter from UK Parking Control’s solicitors offering to settle the case at half of what they would be asking for in court.

I didn’t respond to that thinking as I have come so far I should see it through to the end. Today I got a letter from the court and one from the solicitors saying a N279 Notice of Discontinuance had been filed.

I’m assuming that means the case is closed but could they change their minds and reopen this again at a later date?

Nice one. We are seeing that outcome with UKPC/CP Plus/Highview/DCB Legal that are fully defended. A few every day now.  Shysters using the court system to place motorists on the rack to extract money, inflicting maximum pressure and pain. Shameless!
