  • Thank you Bella Lasagna 2018 unfortunately my credit rating is trashed due to my ex husband but hey Ho just don’t want ever to have any kind of credit. I’ll have a look for succulents on my next shopping trip .

my daughter called in after the school run she’s sold my old IPhone so she brought me £40. That will go in my purse and be used when I need to do more shopping.

I’ve been and bought a flask as I’m going out walking tomorrow and have made a  banana cake tonight so I’ll slice it up and put it in a box in my rucksack.

after finishing my overtime this morning I made a lampshade from a kit in my craft stash and some gorgeous fabric. It’s for my daughters birthday, she’s having an office built in her garden and wants a standard lamp so I’m now looking out for a base to upcycle. Looking to spend no more than £10 and I have the paint to do it. I’m quite proud as I’ve had the kit for a couple of years. I’m also going to make couple of cushions to match the lampshade so I’ll come well below the £20 i would normally spend due to having nearly everything in my craft stashes.

  • that is lovely such beautiful fabric.  Have a lovely day walking tomorrow.

    Very pretty fabric.
  • The lampshade looks amazing!
Re gardening - do you have doorstep space where you could have a container? Or space for a window box? Herbs or salad leaves would grow happily.

    Hi Hastingslass,

I just popped in to say if you don't do them already I highly recommend Prolific.co for surveys too. You can just keep a tab open if you work on your laptop through the day.

Good luck with your DF journey :)

  • Hi Linz,

thank you I’ve register so ill
    wait and see what happens.

I’ve had a good weekend and got myself some sewing to do for the local jubilee celebrations in June. A lot of the members of the walking group are organising a street party and have asked me to make some bunting(and yes in my stash I do have union flag fabric-bought last year as I was going to make loads of bunting for my old house). They offered to pay me but I’ve said as long as they pay for the fabric I’ll
make it(so I’ll get my money back which is good and I’ll enjoy making it).

Today Ive been to my daughters for Sunday lunch which was lovely.

it’s payday tomorrow and I’ll put £800 into my EF and have £24.30 left in my current account and from now on I’m going to put any extra money in my savings account. I have a whole 41p coming from cash back on my bank account so that’s a start on my savings account and I’ve got £4.72 waiting to cash in from surveys so I’ll have throw that in too.

My car is due it’s MOT this month hopefully they’ll be nothing to do as I had 4 new tyres at the beginning of January and it’s only done 3000 miles this year with WFH.

I have about £150 left off moving so if anything does need doing it’ll not be much and that will cover it.

I still need to get a standard lamp stand and have been looking on Facebook Marketplace but so far nothing has come up, but I have till May to get one. I’ll go charity shop shopping if nothing comes up.

I’m looking forward to getting my life back on track  evening my credit rating is trashed

I’ll have an EF and with what little bit extra I’m earning from surveys and a little bit sewing and using my craft stash to
make presents instead of going out and buying lots of things I can save money from my presents budget to try and have a few savings. Pots are ready to put my money in for all my annual bills( my car insurance is due is September so hoping I’ll have enough saved to pay it upfront).

Anyway I can’t believe the weekend is over as it’s flown and the only time I felt lonely was this morning when I thought about how long if the house doesn’t sell I’ll be paying debts off.

Have a lovely Sunday evening. Hugs to you all.

Great that you can use your sewing skills and fabric stash to create gifts and making the bunting is a great way to get to know people in your new area.
fingers crossed your house sells quickly.
