There really are, just so glad I found a couple on a day I really needed them.  Believe it or not I really miss the guy with his cup out outside my local Aldi who always asked me if I needed help.  I always said no thank you & put a £ in.  But he always made me feel like I mattered.  He has looked a lot better for the last few months.  He told me a couple of weeks ago he was finally able to move on.  So pleased for him & hope he gets his dog back from his friend who looked after him but doubt it because he was a really "good" dog.

They really do.  I just hope (in the nicest possible way) that I never see him again.

Chicken thighs in the airfryer were very nice - much nicer and quicker than cooking in the oven. There were some leftover which we had cold for dinner last night. Will pop some chicken legs I got out of the freezer into the airfryer tonight for DH's lunch tomorrow. I haven't used my oven in over a week now.

Decided to take and submit meter readings tonight as I think it website may crash/be busy tomorrow and Saturday. September has been the cheapest for gas and electric for a long time (total of £79) even with the last price increase. We have really been making and effort to reduce gas and electric consumption. DH is fully on board which helps as he works from home so spends more time at home than me.

I will switch second ff off tomorrow too. It has booze and bits in for tomorrow evening - we have friends over for drinks/cheese & crackers.

Second FF in garage has now been switched off and meter readings for September have been submitted.

I have a week left at work before going to Tenerife. Looking forward to the warmth and some sunshine. I have mediterranean blood through my veins and was born to live in a hot country!

    Have a good weekend!

Covid jab today. I need to get a couple of birthday gifts, return some bits and check on the btl property. Forecast good here for next few days so will get more washing out in the line. Yesterday I managed to get two loads out and dry. DH and I are then out for Sunday lunch then it's a quick run round with the vacuum!
