Sky+ To SkyQ

Thanks -Hmm - my discounts are worth ~ £38 pm currently (altho the "discount" amounts on the various parts of the deal are questionable) -I've decided to carry on with my glitchy HD box at least til the end of the discounted period in December-I have got a spare HD box if it gets too bad to cope with. I suppose I still worry about the fact that all the Q equipment is loaned so reduces negotiating power and as more people swop over the ability to get a good deal will become harder and harder.NameWithheld said:I kept my existing £12 of discounts, plus I got another £7 of discounts. There is a one-off additional charge of £10 next month, but that is cancelled out by getting Netflix free for 2 months.0 -
I don't understand your thinking on this, why would swapping to Q make the slightest difference in negotiations? If you don't get the deal you want, you just send it back (at their expense).brewerdave said:

Hi
Just curious, when you swop from Sky+ to SkyQ is any of the wiring changed or is it just a case of swopping the old box for the new box?Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -
The LNB on the dish has to be changed the Sky+ one is not compatible with Sky-Q otherwise it is a straight box change.littlemissbossy said:Hi

I was planning on doing the same - but discovered that it would cost me an extra £10 per month - because Sky failed to add a second TV port to the box - making my bedroom TV link redundant.... So sorry Sky - not interested
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0
