  • Surprised at your choice. Didn't get a great review at £25 and they do not claim to be studio quality either but at nearly £90........
Be interesting to hear what you think of them. Hope they meet expectations and you are pleased with the sound.
  • Thanks @Heedtheadvice
They do look to me as a bit strange tbh , like a lie detector device .
Having said that , in comparison to some of the ones I've been looking at they seem nearer what I'm after and not too restrictive . £37.79 !

It's a bit of a cartoon situation arranging the return of the samsons..
With Hermes collecting on behalf of Amazon , I missed their collection by a couple of mins
They don't give a timeframe and apparently they will try twice more.
No sign so far . Tomorrow will be heavy rain , so in theory they should be picked up by them. We'll see..

I got a few pairs of Porta Pros in 2006. About £15 then.

Have you considered Grado headphones and possible investing in a headphone DAC.
  • Well ..I've made the right choice !
A big thanks to @Neil49 for pointing me to these . Thanks to everyone for contributing .

On opening , they did seem rather tiny to me . However , they fitted straight away with no messing about .
Although the look a bit frankensteinish with the square fittings at the side, they also look and feel like  a bit like the headphones I had with my Sanyo Walkman back in the '80s .

Bear in mind , I wanted something that had a little meat in them and they did not disappoint. I played  half approx of a few tracks from various bands in my iTunes library.
Mercyful Fate, sparks , Tangerine Dream , Stormtroopers of Death  and the swamp Terrorists all sounded really good .

The main thing I wanted these phones for , were for playing musical instruments through my mixer. I plugged the moog minitaur ( very Bassy) and it sounds great !
I haven't plugged my bass guitar in, but I feel that it will sound good .
Bear in mind I don't want to  prevent myself hearing what's going on around me .

I can hear what's around me as well, so I am very pleased .

Compared to these , the Samson phones which will eventually be returned are more or less the opposite and not recommended.

    I'll  leave it there ..🎧
